The D.C. Divided topped the Charleston Battery, 6-4, with shortstop Neil Pippy playing a big role. Pippy went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Divided in the win. Charleston is 1-1 after the loss.

Pippy had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Tim Thompson, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Divided a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Pippy.

"Nice win for us," said Pippy. "Now we'll go after the next one."
