The Charleston Battery withstood a good performance by Baltimore right fielder Gilbert Guy to knock off Baltimore, 6-5, in 10 innings. Guy was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore drops to 2-2.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jake Green in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Doug Morgan to win the game for Charleston. The home crowd went nuts.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Green. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
