The Dayton Dirty Reds picked up a win at Lang Park, knocking off the Kingston Ponies, 6-3. Starting pitcher Juan Rodríguez was a big reason why. Earning his 2nd save of the year was David Adelabu. The loss drops Kingston to 3-2.

Had Fernando Salinas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Salinas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Dirty Reds.

Salinas attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
