Getting an impressive start from Marc Clemow, Hollywood beat New Orleans by the score of 3-1. The winner was Clemow. He threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was John Mustard. Skip Lewis earned save number 1 this season.
Kharouf bin Hajjaj came through for Hollywood when he hit a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a two-strike slider to right field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said bin Hajjaj. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
The loss lowers the New Orleans record to 1-2.
