Jeff McFarland, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L in complete games with 1, never let the Dirty Reds get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Blue Demons to a win, 2-0. At 13-17, the Blue Demons are currently 9th in the Third League.

The Blue Demons got a clutch hit from Rob Banks with no one out in the top of the seventh inning. Banks jumped on a 0-2 changeup from Glenn Hughes and hit a single, staking his club to a 1-0 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," Banks told the Mexico City Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
