Mezzatesta Helps Dayton Bombard Buckhead
Dayton took on Buckhead in front of a lively crowd.

Dayton third baseman Fernando Mezzatesta had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Buckhead Bowties, 14-4. Juan Rodríguez, who is tied for 2nd in the 3L in complete games with 1, was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was Christian Roberts.

Dayton got a lift in the bottom of the fourth from right fielder Bob Dennis, who hit a cutter to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Dirty Reds up, 6-4.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Dayton manager David Dodds.

The defeat makes Buckhead 13-17.
