The Baltimore Bullets turned back the Kingston Ponies, 8-7, at Megaffin Park. Dave Cooper, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Doug Morgan nailed down his 9th save. Baltimore is now 17-16.

With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Michael Austin hit a 2-run single off Kingston pitcher Edward Small. It put the Bullets ahead 3-0.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Baltimore skipper Chris Schubert.
