White Walkers Suffer One-Run Loss at Seattle
|
The Seattle Rocketeers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Brian Folger, who muffled the Buffalo offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Rocketeers win at Boeing Dome. Steven Brown earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. The 9th-place Rocketeers sport a record of 16-22.
George Myers was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk for Seattle. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Myers had a clutch at-bat. Facing Buffalo hurler Andrew Haney, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Rocketeers a 2-1 lead.
"We needed two runs to win," said Rocketeers manager Andrew Powell, "and that's what we got."
