Thurston Leads Colorado Past Hollywood
The Colorado Billy Goats topped the Hollywood Shredders, 3-2, in United States Premier League action at Grazing Hills. The standout performance belonged to Colorado pitcher and Fremont, Nebraska, native Sloppy Thurston. Min Der got credit for the save for Colorado. It was his 12th of the year. The 6th-place Billy Goats now have a win-loss record of 18-22.

Colorado starter Sloppy Thurston pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.

"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary said afterward.
