Yoshida Plays Big Role in Northern Virginia Win
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids eked out a 2-1 win versus the Toledo Stingers at Atlantica. Nobody did more than pitcher Mitsuo Yoshida. He was terrific. Quinton Barnard nailed down his 7th save. Northern Virginia now sports a record of 23-19.

Yoshida, the winner, is now 4-5. In 7.1 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 3 hits, while collecting 5 Ks. He essentially shut down the Toledo offense.

Northern Virginia manager David Lister said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
