Shredders Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
Hollywood pitcher Chris Johnston had a large part in his team beating the New Orleans Voodoo, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The loss makes New Orleans 24-19.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Hollywood. That's when Esteban Ortega hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Tetsu Gato to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
After the game, Hollywood manager TJ Reynolds applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
