The Hartford Pride picked up a win at Mamba Park, dropping the Austin Black Mambas, 5-3. Jason Herbert was the difference-maker. Herbert yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-2. Ernan Rillera was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

Hartford used a timely hit from David Miller to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pride ahead, 2-1. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Austin manager Luis Vicenteno.
