Thunder Win at Home, 7-6
|
The Toronto Thunder knocked off the New Orleans Voodoo by the score of 7-6. Douglas Wacher provided some pop, going 2-for-4 with 1 home run. Floyd Seymour claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 3-2. Ron Murphy notched his 10th save of the season.
Making an impact for the home team was Oliver Garden. In the bottom of the fifth, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 6-4, Thunder.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Wacher.
The 8th-place Thunder improved to 22-29.
