Late Rally Gets Billy Goats 7-4 Win
|
The performance of Jeff Hines proved critical in helping Colorado beat New Orleans, 7-4. The Billy Goats right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win went to Tamasaburo Kishita in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Tetsu Gato took the loss. Colorado is now 25-26, New Orleans 29-22.
William Carson, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2058 draft, aided the Colorado cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Hines told the Colorado Chronicle.
