Patriots Rally to Win
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Boston Patriots and Buffalo White Walkers.
Boston turned a good effort from starter Eric Buchanan into a win over the Buffalo White Walkers at Beyond the Wall. The Patriots won the game, 3-2. Iiri Lahti picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Nick O'Day was tagged with the loss.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Víctor Sánchez to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Patriots on top, 3-2. For the game, Sánchez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Eric kept his poise and got the job done," said Boston manager Brian Fahie. "He was outstanding."
Boston is now 32-19, 2 games up in the Premier League.
