Northern Virginia wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kip Hill, falling to the Colorado Billy Goats, 4-3. Hill threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball for the losing team. The win belonged to Min Der in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Quinton Barnard took the loss for Northern Virginia. Colorado now sits at 26-26, while Northern Virginia falls to 23-29.

Jason Johnson was the walk-off hero for Colorado. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Billy Goats first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Johnson told the Colorado Chronicle.
