Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Norfolk Pajaritos got the win.
The Norfolk Pajaritos picked up a win at Lynx Stadium, taking down the Calgary Lynx, 4-2. Starting pitcher Louis Bainbridge was a big reason why. David Adelabu earned save number 11 this season.
Norfolk used a timely hit from Bernardo López to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pajaritos ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said López, "one at-bat at a time."
The Pajaritos, now 20-8, have won 5 in a row.
