Sioux Falls Picks Up Another L
|
Florence Flamingos starter Franco Morán turned in an exceptional performance against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Florence Field, resulting in a Florence win, 1-0. The winner was Morán. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Uhi Ahipene. Eugene Pearce recorded the save, his 4th.
Ryan Plaistowe hit a solo home run off Uhi Ahipene in the bottom of the third, which put the Flamingos ahead, 1-0. In addition to the homer, Plaistowe had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Sioux Falls skipper Rodney Dudley.
The Red Pandas have now dropped 6 straight.
