Sioux Falls Dismisses Florence, 4-1
|
Sioux Falls pitcher Ánibal Ramos had a large part in his team beating the Florence Flamingos, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sioux Falls is now 20-28, while Florence is 25-23.
Sioux Falls used a clutch at-bat from Harry Johnston to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Ramos attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
