Flamingos Win at Plymouth, 5-2
|
Florence Flamingos starter Jeremy Hull pitched well against the Plymouth Rocks at Plymouth Quarry, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Hull, now 3-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The 5th-place Rocks now sit at 25-24.
Bobby Harris drove in one run for Florence. The 28-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Norberto González. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
Hull called the win "a team effort."
