The New Orleans Voodoo did just enough to secure a victory over the Buffalo White Walkers, 4-3, in 12 innings at Beyond the Wall. Nobody did more than shortstop Rubén Vargas. Dexter Yates notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-2. The Voodoo saw their win-loss record go to 32-22. At the same time, the White Walkers fell to 21-33.

Vargas had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 1-2 changeup from Rich Baker, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Voodoo a 4-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Vargas.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Vargas.
