Sioux Falls Upended, 4-1, by Austin
|
Austin pitcher Horace Hill did his part in helping his team defeat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Hill got the win, improving to 4-5. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Austin, with the win, climbs to 15-35.
Austin right fielder Drake McCormick contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Black Mambas ahead, 3-1.
Said Sioux Falls manager Rodney Dudley: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
