Sioux Falls turned a good effort from starter Warner Alder into a win over the Austin Black Mambas at Mamba Park. The Red Pandas won the game, 5-2. The winner was Alder. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Conor March. Aukthya Shalabh, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
The Red Pandas had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 5-2, Sioux Falls, with one out. Austin, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Chris Wolfe dug in at the plate, but on a 0-2 changeup, he struck out.
Today's win puts Sioux Falls at 21-30, while Austin falls to 15-36.
