Loss Diminishes Fine Performance by Castro
The Plymouth Rocks overcame a good performance by Kansas center fielder Héctor Castro to knock off Kansas, 11-9, at Wichita Field. Castro was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Joe Roberts recorded the save, his 3rd. The 4th-place Rocks now have a win-loss record of 28-26.

Orlando Ramírez had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the first for Plymouth. With the bases loaded and the Rocks leading 1-0, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Ramírez told the Plymouth News.
