Drummers Beat Florence, 5-4

The Tortolita Drummers, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Drummers Ballpark.
The Tortolita Drummers downed the Florence Flamingos, 5-4, at Drummers Ballpark. Mario Arévalo led the way, going 3-for-4 for Tortolita. Jack MacAlonie earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Tortolita. That's when 22-year old center fielder Boyd Barnett hit a 2-run double off Akil bin Abbud to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Barnett.
The current losing streak for Florence has reached 4 games.
