The Austin Black Mambas did just enough to secure a victory over the Calgary Lynx, 6-5, in 10 innings at Lynx Stadium. Nobody did more than center fielder Tim Gilbert. Hunter Stinson, 5-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Austin is now 25-34, Calgary 35-24.
Austin used the hitting of Michael Robbins to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Black Mambas on top, 6-5. For the game, Robbins had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
In postgame remarks, Robbins said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
