Norfolk left fielder Ken Byrd made his presence felt in the 8-5 Pajaritos triumph over the Hartford Pride. Byrd went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Norfolk is third in the Silver AAA with a record of 39-21.

In the top of the sixth, the Pajaritos took the lead, 6-4, when 22-year old catcher Ronald McKenzie drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," McKenzie said. "We did a good job of that today."
