The Colorado Billy Goats had to reckon with Toronto Thunder hurler Nelson Bennett. Bennett, who is tied for 9th in the PL in quality starts with 7, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-0 Thunder triumph. The winning pitcher was Bennett, now 6-6. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. By defeating Colorado, the second-place Thunder improved to 34-23.

Steven Dean had a big bases-clearing triple for the Thunder in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Sloppy Thurston, who leads the PL in innings pitched with 98.0, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunder ahead, 4-0.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Bennett.
