Rocketeers Topple Rainbow Mermaids, 11-5
The Seattle Rocketeers beat the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 11-5, at Atlantica. Dave Powell, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Rocketeers raised their record to 25-32.

Tied up with the Rainbow Mermaids in the top of the fourth inning, the Rocketeers got a boost from center fielder McFlurry Beck. With the bases loaded, Beck saw a 1-1 fastball from Kip Hill and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Seattle on top, 6-4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell.
