Marcus Holmes did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Tortolita Drummers from being beaten, 7-5, to the Plymouth Rocks at Plymouth Quarry. Holmes went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Joe Roberts picked up the save for Plymouth, his 8th of the year. Tortolita's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Plymouth took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Frank Thompson hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Rocks.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Thompson said.
