The Hartford Pride claimed a close win over the Plymouth Rocks, due in large part to Jeffrey Dixon. The Hartford right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 1-0 win. The save went to Chris McElroy, his 4th this season. With this game in the books, Hartford is 35-57, Plymouth 48-44.

Dixon, a native of Redford Township, Michigan, was dealing all game. He kept Plymouth hitters off-balance, while giving the Pride 8 quality innings. Dixon threw 106 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 4.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Dixon.
