The Sioux Falls Red Pandas racked up a win at Drummers Ballpark, bumping off the Tortolita Drummers, 5-3, in 10 innings. Jorge Pares, who started for Sioux Falls, pitched effectively for his team. Daniel Goodhew earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 5-1. Sioux Falls is now 45-49.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Hank Sutton? The 28-year old second baseman Sutton stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the tenth inning to put Sioux Falls up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"When Jorge is on, he can really move the ball around," said Sioux Falls manager Rodney Dudley.
