Big Day for MacGrewar in 9-4 Flamingos Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Florence Flamingos and Austin Black Mambas.

Mark MacGrewar batted in 3 runs to lead Florence to a win over Austin. The final score was 9-4. MacGrewar chipped in 1 single and 2 home runs. Luis Domínguez earned the win for Florence. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 7-3.

With Florence leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, MacGrewar batted against Austin pitcher Carlos Sandoval. MacGrewar hit a sinker to left-center for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Flamingos on top, 4-1.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said MacGrewar.

By defeating Austin, the third-place Flamingos improved to 52-43.
