White Walkers Come Up Short at Seattle, 2-1

Behind an impressive start by Bruce Hawkins, Seattle beat Buffalo, 2-1. In 6 innings, Hawkins surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. After today's action, Seattle sits at 27-32; Buffalo slips to 23-36.
Keith Jones drove in one run for Seattle. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Andrew Haney. It was his 8th RBI of the season.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Rocketeers manager Andrew Powell.
