Harris Jacks Two Home Runs in 10-9 Austin Win
The Austin Black Mambas downed the Tortolita Drummers, 10-9. The hitting star was designated hitter Mike Harris. Harris hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Black Mambas. Richard Fernández got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Roberto Chaumond locked down his 5th save.

Tied up with the Drummers in the top of the fifth inning, the Black Mambas got a boost from first baseman Fernando López. With runners on 1st and 2nd, López saw a 1-1 sinker from Otojiro Kozawa and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Austin on top, 4-3.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Harris.

The triumph makes Austin 29-69.
