Flamingos Take Nail-Biter Over Rainbeaus
|
A 4-RBI performance from shortstop Tanzan Murayama, who is tied for 4th in the SAAA in home runs with 14, led the Florence Flamingos to a win over the Kansas Rainbeaus, 6-4. Florence reliever Ryunosuke Nagata picked up the win, raising his record to 5-1. Ánibal Vázquez was tagged with the loss. With the win, Florence has a record of 54-44. Kansas falls to 73-25.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Murayama hit a cutter from Ánibal Vázquez for a 2-run home run. The Flamingos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Murayama.
