The Ottawa Fat Cats rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Gary Joseph to a win, beating the Westwood Sixshooters, 8-2, at Nationals Park. Ottawa goes to 5-1.

The Fat Cats got an important contribution from first baseman Dimacali Lontok, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a splitter to left for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Fat Cats ahead, 5-1.

"Felt great, felt really good," said Joseph.
