The Lancaster Farmers locked up a win at Rails Ballpark, knocking off the Richland Rails, 5-4. On the mound for Lancaster was right-hander Garry Bennett. He played a major role in the triumph. Fjodor Ishemgujin recorded the save, his 1st. The win puts Lancaster at 3-3.

Lancaster needed the clutch hitting of Dan Griffin to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Farmers on top, 5-4. For the game, Griffin had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I'm happy we won," said Bennett. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
