Getting an impressive start from Richard Miller, Pittsburgh beat New Orleans by the score of 4-2. Brad Pratly earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Pittsburgh is now 2-4.

Pittsburgh went in front, 3-1, on Brian Anderson's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Anderson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New Orleans pitcher Paul Harris visibly perturbed.

"I thought we played a nice game," Miller told the Pittsburgh Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
