The Detroit Rock City picked up a win at Detroit Stadium, knocking off the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 8-4. Starting pitcher Ronald Jackson was a big reason why. Jackson, the winner, moves to 2-5. Arturo Garza's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 4-4. The Detroit center fielder hit a run-scoring single off Luke Riley to put the Rock City up.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Garza told the Detroit Observer.
