The Charleston Battery got a good effort from starter Pham Phung in defeating the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field. The final score was 4-1. Thunder Bay has now lost 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Charleston, had it not been for Wilbert Bradley, the 23-year old first baseman . Bradley contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Charleston up, 4-1.
Bradley attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
