In a tight tilt between the Seattle Rocketeers and the Toronto Thunder, John Baker was the deciding factor. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Baker picked up the win for Seattle, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Ray Peck earned the save for Seattle, his 1st of the year.

Luigi Mangione had a big solo home run for the Rocketeers in the top of the third inning. With Seattle leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Chih Hoong and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Rocketeers on top, 3-0.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Toronto manager Jordan Smith.

The Rocketeers are now 29-33.
