Boston pitcher Jim Everhart did his part in helping his team beat the Hollywood Shredders, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win belonged to Mark Sanders in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jack Hill took the loss for Hollywood. The Patriots raised their record to 32-30.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Ali Aghamirzaeijenaghard came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Hollywood pitcher Jack Hill, he hit a 1-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 4-3.

"I liked his command," said Boston manager Brian Fahie. "Jim was throwing strikes."
