Oakland Oaks starter Alfonso Sánchez kept the Buckhead Bowties hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Sánchez got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 7 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The 6th-place Oaks are now 27-28, the Bowties 25-30.

Bartolo Vásquez had a big run-scoring double for the Oaks in the bottom of the third inning. With Oakland leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Leonard Ramírez and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Oaks ahead, 2-0.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Vásquez told the Oakland Gazette.
