The D.C. Divided knocked off the Kingston Ponies, 4-2, in Menard's Third League action at Megaffin Park. D.C. pitcher and Oologah, Oklahoma, native Will Rogers had an outstanding performance. Rogers yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-3. The win makes D.C. 27-30.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brian Davis? The D.C. second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Divided on top, 2-0. For the game, Davis had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
