Piranhas Reel Off Another Win
|
The Panama City Piranhas picked up a win at The Tank, courtesy of Mario Gonzáles. The right-hander helped his team stop the Kingston Ponies, 3-0. Raymond Thomas earned save number 1 this season. Panama City has run its win streak to 6 straight.
The Piranhas got an important contribution from right fielder Jorge Zapata, who in the bottom of the third hit a fastball to right for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Piranhas ahead, 3-0.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Piranhas manager Brian Talamante. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
