The Toledo Stingers picked up a win at Atlantica, knocking off the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 3-2. On the mound for Toledo was left-hander Puhi Paselio. He played a key role in the triumph. The win gives Toledo a season record of 36-28.

Toledo used the hitting of Viet Long to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stingers on top, 3-2. For the game, Long had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager David Lister.
