Ángel Soto was a major factor in the 7-4 Mexico City win over Cape Coral. The Blue Demons second baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. With the win, Mexico City upped its record to 34-33.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Mike Joseph to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Demons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Not the sexiest win," said Blue Demons manager JJ Hoban, "but I'll take it."
