The Charleston Battery, behind a great outing from Pham Phung, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L with a 2.75 ERA, defeated the Oakland Oaks, 3-0, at The Oak Grove. The 5th-place Oaks have lost 5 straight games.
Charleston starter Pham Phung was exceptional. The 6-foot-2 right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Oakland manager DAshley GoAs.
