The Cape Coral Hurricanes overcame a pretty good performance by Oakland first baseman Samuel Lopez, beating the Oaks, 8-7, at Factory of Sadness. Lopez belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Cape Coral has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Cape Coral trailing 7-5, Owen Tu delivered the decisive blow, stroking a fastball from Lowell Nash for a 3-run home run. Ballgame.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing.
